What AIforce is
Salesforce announced AIforce at Dreamforce on September 15, 2026. It is a live interface layer that brings Salesforce data, workflows, and business logic to the AI interfaces people already use, so agents and people can reason and act on Salesforce without opening Salesforce's own screens. Interfaces are composable: you describe the view you need and get a working one, instead of navigating fixed page layouts.
Three details matter for how it runs:
- Requests run on your existing Salesforce permissions and business rules.
- Salesforce says no new permissions model or migration is required.
- Salesforce describes AIforce as built with Zero Data Retention: business data is not retained by the model provider.

Claudeforce: Salesforce and Claude, in both directions
Salesforce and Anthropic announced Claudeforce on August 26, 2026. It runs in two directions.
Salesforce in Claude. A plugin with 37 prebuilt sales skills, such as meeting prep, deal health review, and pipeline review, that reason over live revenue context and take governed actions from Claude. At Dreamforce, Salesforce said it is now in beta. Deloitte, GitLab, and Legora piloted it. Salesforce also announced a Salesforce Development plug-in for Claude Code with more than 40 skills, and plans Tableau analytics and service, marketing, and commerce skills later.
Claude in Salesforce. Claude powers the Atlas Reasoning Engine, is the default model for Agentforce Vibes and Agentforce Coworker, and is available in Agent Builder. For regulated industries, Salesforce deploys it through Amazon Bedrock inside the Salesforce trust boundary.
Claude sees only what the signed-in user is authorized to see. The Claudeforce page says Enterprise Frontier Safeguards with zero data retention roll out beginning fall 2026, so confirm which data-retention terms apply to your contract.
Slackforce: Slack as the front door to Salesforce
Slack announced Slackforce on September 15, 2026 and called it the front door to Salesforce. Available now:
- Slackforce Surfaces: ask Slackbot in plain language for a dashboard, report, or deck, and get a live, interactive surface that stays connected to its data. Teams can filter, explore, comment on, and act on it together.
- Slackbot in Lightning Experience: Slackbot inside the Salesforce interface.
- Big Mode: a full-screen AI workspace inside Slack.
- Slack Code: code channels where developer teams work with coding agents.
Slackbot in Channels is in early pilot. Two-way voice and video generation are planned for fall 2026. Slackbot is powered by Claude, is included in Business+ and Enterprise+ plans, and is available to other plans through Flex Credits.
Agentforce Coworker and Koa
Agentforce Coworker, an AI teammate in the Lightning interface, is generally available. Salesforce reports 100,000 users activated in its first 35 days.
Koa is Salesforce's first CRM reasoning model, built by post-training NVIDIA Nemotron 3 Super. It is available to select pilot customers in Agentforce, with general availability expected in winter 2026 in U.S. regions. Salesforce says that on its own CRM benchmark Koa matches or exceeds leading models on CRM actions with three times fewer errors. Koa runs inside Salesforce infrastructure, and Salesforce says no customer data was used to train it.
What should Salesforce admins do now?
Start with access, because every AIforce answer inherits it. Over-broad access that nobody noticed in a page layout shows up quickly in a chat answer.
- Audit sharing, permission sets, and field-level security on the objects sales teams will query from Claude and Slack.
- Check your Slack plan and whether Slackbot is enabled, then decide who can pin Slackforce Surfaces to shared channels and what those channels should see.
- Pick two or three revenue workflows for the Salesforce in Claude beta, such as meeting prep or pipeline review, and measure them before widening access.
- Confirm the data-retention terms for your contract, since the AIforce announcement and the Claudeforce page describe zero data retention differently.
- Treat pilot and beta features as previews, not production entitlements. Salesforce notes that pricing and packaging are subject to change and that availability varies by region.
Is AIforce generally available?
Salesforce did not give one availability date for AIforce as a whole, and its parts are at different stages. Agentforce Coworker is generally available. Salesforce in Claude is in beta. Slackforce Surfaces, Slackbot in Lightning Experience, Big Mode, and Slack Code are available now. Slackbot in Channels and Koa are in pilot.
Do I need Claude or Slack to use it?
For those surfaces, yes. Salesforce in Claude runs inside Claude, and Slackforce runs inside Slack. Agentforce Coworker runs in Lightning Experience. Slackbot is included in Slack Business+ and Enterprise+ plans and is available to other plans through Flex Credits.
